Holly is a jeweller and goldsmith based in Abergavenny. Both tutored and self-taught, she works on a small scale, producing a limited number of pieces each year.
The majority of Holly’s jewellery is hand forged, although some pieces are cast. She enjoys the challenge of creating pieces which require precision and attention to detail. That said, she also relishes the creative freedom which comes from manipulating metal ‘free form’ into irregular, organic shapes.
Holly’s designs are influenced by her experiences and her environment. She works primarily in silver and gold, sometimes using synthetic, semi-precious or precious stones. Many of the metals she uses are recycled and the process of reimagining and reusing materials is one she enjoys.
