Sarah is a mixed media artist living and working in Abergavenny. Ever since she was a small child drawing stick men on the wallpaper beside her bed Sarah has loved painting and drawing. She has a foundation diploma in Art and Design from Hereford College of Art.
Sarah uses a variety of media in her work – often combining different materials to achieve an interesting and unexpected outcome. She takes inspiration from a variety of sources, whether she is recording her travels in simple sketchbooks or painting the landscapes of Monmouthshire and the Black Mountains in Wales and the expansive reedbeds of Norfolk – two contrasting yet equally captivating environments. The process of creating is more important than the outcome. Through her work she aims to convey the feelings and memories evoked by these landscapes.
