Keith was born and brought up in a small mining village in South Wales. His Grandfather was a miner and his father was a ropesmith.
For as long as Keith can remember, painting has been his passion. He cannot remember a time when he has not painted.
Keith studied fine art at Newport College of Art, and received the National Diploma in Art and Design, following which he was awarded The David Murray Landscape Scholarship for Painting – which financed his early years as a painter.
Completing the postgraduate teaching degree in Cardiff University, enabled Keith to teach fine art, life drawing, and ceramics in various educational establishments in both England and Wales. He taught students to A level, as well as adults in Further Education and evening classes.
Following his retirement from the teaching profession Keith has enjoyed being able to paint full-time from his studio at home in South Wales. Keith’s work has been exhibited in many galleries throughout Wales and the South of England, and in many open exhibitions including – The John Moore’s Exhibition in Liverpool, the Royal Academy Summer Show, the National Eisteddfod, and Chapter Arts Centre, to name but a few.
