After a fulfilling career in food and cookery writing, Annette now designs and makes distinctive silver jewellery in my little workshop near Abergavenny. She work mainly in sterling silver, sometimes adding gemstones and/or gold accents, and most of her pieces are hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office.
Annette’s jewellery is now exclusive to the Frogmore Street Gallery here in Abergavenny, where you’ll always find an eclectic mixture of her current designs. Each piece is unique and often has a distinctly Celtic feel. Inspiration can come from her Welsh roots (She grew up in the Brecon Beacons) and the surrounding countryside (Anette often create pendants/lockets with local scenes in silver), as well as shapes, textures, seasons and whatever calls to her at a particular moment in time. She can be extremely spontaneous and quite random!
Learning new skills and techniques is a real passion for Annette, so she is always discovering and exploring the unique qualities of sterling and fine silver, and how wire and sheet can be manipulated into an infinite variety of beautiful creations. All great fun and very satisfying!
