Mary makes ceramics in porcelain and stoneware. Her main work is tableware, it’s a great pleasure to eat or drink from handmade vessels. She also makes decorative work, particularly mobiles of fish strung from driftwood, some embellished with metal leaf. She continues to explore the oceans for favourite fish.
Mary loves porcelain for its translucency and the way it takes up the glaze. Stoneware has its place in every kitchen, robust and traditionally valued as cookware.
Mary makes all her own glazes from raw materials, in a range of soft colours.
She lives and works in Wales in a tiny studio at her home.
